GUILD ACTIVITIES

	2010 Fibre Olympics june 1-6, 2010

In June of 2010 the Edmonton Weavers' Guild will host the annual Hand Weavers Spinners and Dyers of Alberta Conference.
This conference will be held at King's University College, 9125 - 50 Street in Edmonton.
Preconference Workshops will start on June 1, 2010 consisting of 1, 2, and 3 day workshops.

3 Days - Silken Kaleidoscope with Karen Selk
2 Days - Cotton Spinning with Joan Ruane
2 Days - Russian Lace Spindle Spinning with Caroline Sommerfeld
2 Days - Bobbin Lace with Sharon Wickstrom
1 Day - Viking Knitted Bracelet with Christine Muir

The conference itself will open at noon on Friday June 4 and wind up on Sunday, June 6, 2010

Please check the HWSDA Blog for current registration numbers in the conference workshops and preconference workshops.

*Non-members* of HWSDA can register for the HWSDA 2010 PRE-CONFERENCE workshops after March 1, 2010 at the same prices listed in the registration package.

*Non-members* can also register for the HWSDA 2010 CONFERENCE after March 1, 2010 for: $385 (includes meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch, Friday night wine-n-cheese, Saturday classes, Saturday night banquet)

Deadline for registration is March 31, 2010

It may be in your best interest to join the HWSDA membership for $50 a year, then you can register as a current HWSDA member (April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010). You can then register for the pre-conference now! And you can register for the conference with Earlybird prices if you register BEFORE March 1, 2010.

REMINDER TO ALL GUILDS WHO HAVE HWSDA MEMBERSHIP: each Guild who has a guild membership with HWSDA can send two of their members to the conference under HWSDA membership prices - just include name of guild when registering
