World Events are perhaps some of the most challenging projects to produce. The experience gained from these shows is priceless. Mel worked in Torino at the Winter Olympics as one of the video operators controlling the super slow motion cameras for figure skating.
"We had a total of 19 High Definition cameras which all had to match and look beautiful", says Mel. "We purchased our own DSC Charts which are crucial in aligning multiple cameras and providing consistent, matching pictures no matter what the event."
Mel also supplied broadcast services for the Olympics in Atlanta, Australia, Athens, Salt Lake City, Doha Qatar, Seoul S. Korea, and Munich for World Cup Soccer.
Mel recently finished a contract as Technical Liason Manager for the World Cup Soccer Euro 2008 Event in Vienna Austria. His role was to manage problems for broadcast partners insuring proper audio, and video feeds supplied by the host broadcaster.
Mel recently completed a stint at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
Mel helps out with crewing in western Canada. He recently helped crew the Oct 15th soccer match at Commonwealth Stadium for Telemundo Television Mexico. TV Crew bookings are also available at Premier now!
