

Mel Gargus is the owner of Premier Recordings. His talents and abilities are considerable.
Mel spent close to 20 years as an employee of CBC Television. This added to his overall understanding of broadcasting and remote television. Mel has been involved with over 6,500 different shows, productions, and audio/video recordings since 1979.
Mel's formal education was completed at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of the their Electronics program. After graduating in 1979 he was immediately employed with CBC Edmonton.
Mel is well known in the industry for his professional yet friendly business demeanour.
Working multiple Olympic and World Cup Soccer events has added to Premier Recordings overall experience. Theories and practices learned there are applied on productions back here in Canada.
There is a steep and constant learning curve in the audio/video industry. Mel has attended courses in RCA City, Sony Vancouver, & CBC Edmonton. The knowledge gained has been instrumental in understanding the correct procedure for aligning cameras to achieve the ultimate picture quality in high definition.
