I had a very busy spring and summer season. I recently finished a contract as Technical Liason Manager for the World Cup Soccer Euro 2008 Event in Vienna Austria. My role was to manage problems for broadcast partners insuring proper audio, and video feeds supplied by the host broadcaster.
I was home for the month of July and produced some original country music in the studio. The song is called "These Times", sort of a Country/ Rock thing. Some say it has a Canadian BIG AND RICH feel!
During this time I also did a corporate video production for Microtech at Oasis Conference Centre. Then I was off to the Gospel Assembly in Fort McMurray wiring, and testing a 3 cameras set up. I will also be giving a camera and final cut express editing course to allow the church to produce weekly podcasts of their services. Then I worked as a video op for CBC television on a sports production.
At this moment I am in Beijing working the 2008 Summer Olympic Games as a video operator. I will be back in Edmonton at the end of August. I should have many interesting stories upon my return!
