A computer is a high-speed moron;
You have nothing to fear.

WARNING: the procedures discussed in these documents are potentially dangerous if not carried out properly. If you damage anyone or anything as a result of something you saw on this web site, the author takes NO RESPONSIBILITY. You have been warned.

The documents on this web site are my responses to certain questions, issues, and problems that kept coming up as I have helped people learn the basics of DOS, Windows, Linux, and other things. Much of this material is handouts and exercises for various courses. I place them here for the perusal of anyone.

In a previous life, when I used to teach dead languages and ancient history, I always made a point of telling my students, "As far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as a dumb question". The same applies with computers.

This website was created with many programs, because I like to experiment. My grateful thanks to the hard-working people who wrote these programs, free or otherwise.
